Our best tips for analysing your community properly

As an event organiser, your community statistics can provide valuable insights and help you make informed decisions to improve your events. However, it can be difficult to know what information to measure, how and why.

That's why you can find metrics for you to take advantage of with our integrated CRM. By logging into your Smartboard, you have access to different data in Analysis giving you an overview of your community, as well as socio-demographic and behavioural perspectives.

In this article, we'll give you some tips on how to use these metrics to your advantage to better understand the community, their preferences and the effectiveness of your event strategies.

1. Track community growth

By looking at the Overview, you can track your Community Growth. This key data can already give you a lot of information about your brand's popularity, expansion and event engagement. Not only can you see the evolution of the number of contacts, but also the followers of your organiser page on Shotgun, your most engaged customers and your newsletter subscribers.

Use community growth by event to see in more detail the number of new contacts for each event you've organised. See how a contact is added to your community.

2. Do targeted marketing

Reach the right people for your event and reach a more precise audience through targeted marketing. By analysing socio-demographic measures such as gender, age and location (country and region), you can identify user groups and create targeted marketing campaigns with our segmentation tool. Discover how to segment your audience and how to promote your event with tailored ads for a specific part of your audience.

3. Improve your event planning and pricing strategies

Purchase behaviour data can be used in your favour to make future event planning decisions. Using order timing (by day or month) and order anticipation, you can know the optimal time to launch marketing campaigns.

4. Adapt your event content

In terms of Socio-demographics, you can identify regions of interest with Contacts by country and Contacts by region. For example, if you notice particular interest in a specific geographical region, you can consider expanding your event to that area.

Finally, learn more about your audience's Musical tastes. Just like your contacts' location, looking at Favourite musical genres and Favourite artists they listen to can help you shape your future events.

5. Evaluate your contacts' loyalty

Use the Attendance at your events metric in your Overview to give you an idea of your community's engagement and loyalty. This will give you the percentage of contacts who have attended 1, 2, 3, 4, 5+ events. High retention rates indicate a strong community and loyalty to your events.

6. Evaluate marketing efforts

Finally, evaluate your marketing efforts by examining your Community Growth. You can see if there are growth peaks after a marketing activity. If so, it means you've successfully attracted new contacts. Identify the campaigns that worked best.

With these key indicators, you can make more decisions that contribute to the success of your events. Analyse my community now!
