Everything you need to know about the subscription programme

Discover a new way to engage your community, improve customer loyalty and increase your sales. Among the many tools offered by Shotgun, our ticketing service, you can create membership features to give members access to preferential rates for some of your events.

How to set up a subscription?

1. Create the subscription event

Create a new event from the Smartboard with the name, price(s) and validity date of the membership (e.g.: Subscription 2023, 20 EUR, from 1 January to 31 December 2023).

2. Create a segment with members

Create a new dynamic segment with the filter called "Event participation" and select the event you just created. Name this segment (e.g.: Members 2023). Learn more about how to use segments.

3. Create member-only tickets

Create a ticket, set the price and quantity and restrict ticket sales to the Members 2023 segment.

4. Import members from another platform (optional)

If you already have a subscription programme on another platform and want to import your existing members, you can import tickets in your Subscription event settings.

Who is it for?

Although a subscription programme can be useful for many event organisers, certain types can particularly benefit from it:

  1. SMACs: Set up seasonal subscriptions for your audiences to provide your members with multiple benefits: reduced rates, dedicated meetings, volunteering, invitations, participation in associative life...
  2. Clubs & collectives: Segment your audience to give part of your audience a specific subscription to unite your community and create a sense of belonging by giving them restricted access to certain ticket categories and merchandise exclusives.

What are the benefits?

  • Loyalty and customer experience: Using a loyalty programme for your customers will encourage them to become loyal. With exclusive benefits (discounts, restricted access, private events...), you can maintain a stronger connection with your community.
  • Data and insights: With our ticketing service, you can access information about your community, allowing you to analyse their demographics and purchasing behaviours. By focusing on your members, this data can help you understand your community and identify trends.
  • Marketing and promotion: A loyalty programme can be a valuable marketing tool. You can create targeted marketing campaigns only for your members, leveraging their loyalty and engagement.
  • Engagement and retention: Members can act as brand ambassadors and help build a strong community for you. If interested, learn more about our ambassador programme.
